Industrial 155Mbps SFP Transceiver: Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Does this 155Mbps SFP transceiver support the Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) function?

Answer: Yes. The 155Mbps SFP transceiver is equipped with Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) function which allows real-time monitoring of the network such as supply voltage, temperature and input/output power levels to minimize network downtime.

Question: What type of fiber connectors are used with 155Mbps SFP transceiver?

Answer: The 155Mbps SFP transceiver usually works with the duplex LC connector for the dual fiber links. However, the bi-directional 155Mbps SFP transceiver is also available to support transmission using a simplex LC connector.

Question: Are 155Mbps SFP modules hot-swappable?

Answer: Yes. The 155Mbps SFP modules are designed to be hot-swappable. This feature allows the modules to be installed or removed from the network switch without powering it off and causing disruption to network connections.
