Armoured PE Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable FLTPSP

The FLTPSP is an armoured fiber optic cable that consists of a steel central strength member as its core and 6 jelly-filled loose tubes, each capable of holding up to 12 optical fibers. To prevent water penetration, the cable is constructed with water-blocking tape, an inner PE layer, a layer of steel wire armour, and a PE outer jacket. The steel wire armour also provides mechanical and rodent protection for the fiber optic cable.

Number of optical fibers supported

The FLTPSP armoured fiber optic cable comes with 6 loose tubes which each can support up to 12 optical fibers. In total, the fiber optic cable can support up to a maximum of 72 optical fibers.

 

Type of optical fibers supported

Both multimode and single-mode optical fiber types can be deployed. G.652D, OM1 and OM2 are some of the common optical fiber types being deployed. Other types of optical fibers are available depending on the project requirements.
