Armoured PE Loose Tube Fiber Optic Cable FLTAPSP

The FLTAPSP is an armoured loose tube fiber optic cable consisting of six tubes that are filled with water-blocking gel. The construction of FLTAPSP  armoured fiber optic cable comprises a layer of aluminium tape which serves as the moisture barrier, steel wires, and inner & outer PE jackets to protect the cable from water penetration. On top of this, the steel wires also protect the cable from rodent attacks.

Number of optical fibers supported

The gel-filled loose tube of the FLTAPSP armoured fiber optic cable can be filled with a maximum of 6 to 12 optical fibers. The cable can support up to 72 optical fibers in total.

 

Type of optical fibers supported

Both single-mode and multimode optical fiber types are supported. For single-mode optical fiber, the G.652D is one of the most commonly used. As for the multimode optical fiber, OM1 and OM2 are the two most common multimode optical fibers being deployed.
